Progress: Almost done with Henry's room!

It's been one week since we gutted Henry's new room, and this morning we (meaning, John) installed the carpet that we picked out this morning.  We went to the store with another carpet choice in mind, but they did not have enough for us so we chose something better (and darker).  I was a little nervous about the color of the carpet, but I really like the way it turned out!

Now that I've seen how this first renovation project has turned out, I'm really excited to tackle the rest of the house!

The paint color is Behr's Chocolate Froth (720C-2) and the carpet was purchased from Menard's - Citation Success Frieze Taupe.

And the winner is...

Color Choices

I've narrowed it down to these choices.  I'm looking at the middle and bottom colors on both sheets.  We are planning on installing white trim throughout the house, and whatever color we choose it is supposed to be throughout the house as well.  That's the plan, anyway.  :)

 Here are the colors against the white trim in our current kitchen, try to ignore the blue/gray paint on the walls! 

Project #1 - Henry's room

We won't be moving into our new home for another 6 weeks or so, but since we are buying our home from my father in law he has given us permission to start a project before we move in. I wanted Henry's room to be ready first so that when we do move in and start more projects he will have somewhere to go that isn't a construction zone. And so that we don't have to move him from room to room as we're working our way through the house.
